Follow this simple steps to assemble aSensar’s v2 Direct Drive Extruder

aSensar Extruder is made of two body, namely Base and Arm and show in the below picture.

Step 1: Assemble Base part of extruder with stepper motor

For this step use two M3 x 20 mm bolt, and tighten the base with NEMA 17 stepper motor it as shown in picture.

Next is to align the extruder filament hole and MK7 gears curved filament guide, for this move the gear from and back, once in correct position tighten the grub screw.

Step 2: Assemble the Arm

Use M3 x 25 mm bolt and tighten the Arm with NEMA 17 Stepper motor

Step 3: Insert the spring

Insert the spring the as show in the picture, one end of the spring should be inserted into the slot in the base.

Step 4: Bearing assembly

Put the 625zz bearing in place and tighten it with M5 x 10mm bolt

Extra Steps – Mounting extruder to Prusa i3 Extruder carrier

For assembling the extruder to Prusa i3 Extruder carrier use two M3 bolts, this extruder will perfectly mount on Prusa i3/WoodMAX i3 Extruder

Extra Steps – Mounting hotend

Insert the hotend from bottom and tighten the hotend with M4 bolt. Hotends’s like JHead, RRI, E3D Will perfectly mount with this motend
